Direct-to-Garment Printing

    WHAT IS DTG PRINTING?
WHAT IS THE LARGEST SIZE IMAGE THAT YOU CAN PRINT?
Think of Direct-to-Garment printing as a larger, more complicated version of your inkjet printer at home, made specifically for apparel instead of paper. It uses the latest drop-on-demand inkjet printing technology and garment handling system, specifically designed for garment printing. It prints directly on garments using a high speed print heads with 1,440 nozzles. Using variable ink drop size, the print head can jet large and small volume ink drops at ultra high speed suitable for the specific textile material being printed. The ink is water-based, producing a soft, ‘non-plasticky’ feel, and offers more flexibility than screenprinting in terms of color variation and turn-around time (especially for smaller orders).
We can print images as large as 15' x 25', but generally, we print adult t-shirts using an 11x15 design area.
CAN YOU PRINT MORE THAN FOUR COLORS?
CAN YOU HANDLE GRADIENTS IN A GRAPHIC?
Yes! Unlike traditional silk screen printing, you are not limited to just four colors (CMYK) — a DTG printer can produce over 16 million colors.
Yes. We can print photo-quality images, so we can definitely handle gradients, halftones, etc.
CAN YOU ONLY PRINT ON LIGHT-COLORED SHIRTS?
WHAT TYPES OF FABRICS CAN YOU PRINT ON?
We can print on any color garment. Unlike older DTG technology, we can also print white on dark garments.
We can print on almost any fabric except nylon and 100% polyester. However, we prefer to print with 100% cotton garments. The more cotton the garment contains, the more vibrant the image will be.
HOW IS THE WASHABILITY ON A DTG PRINT?
WILL THE PRINT CRACK OR FLAKE OFF WHEN I WASH IT?
Garments printed using DTG technology have excellent washability because the ink actually penetrates into the fabric. Unlike silk screen and heat transfers, your image will not crack or peel off after a few washes.
No way Jose. The ink is water-based, penetrating the fabric, giving it awesome washability. It will not peel or crack like silkscreen or heat transfer prints.
